How the Crayons Saved the Rainbow
How the Crayons Saved the Rainbow by Monica Sweeney is a creative tale about crayons that fix a black and white world! In this At Home episode, we are creating our own fine motor activity! Grab and screwdriver and let's get to work!
The main item in. this homemade fine motor activity is your box of crayons! Of course!
You will also need an empty cracker box, white piece of paper, scissors, and a screwdriver.
Cut the white piece of paper to cover the square side of the cracker box. Tape of glue it onto the cracker box. Next make colorful circles on that white piece of paper on the cracker box. Punch a hole with your screwdriver in the middle of all your colored circles. Use a crayon to widen each screwdriver circle. Then, sort the crayons in your crayon box by placing them in the slot that most resembles that color. The great thing about this activity is that you can retrieve all your crayons through the bottom of the cracker box once you are done and not wasted any crayons!
