The Rainbow Fish, Marbles, and Smarties
The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister is a character building story about a fish with beautiful shiny scales and his decision to share them with his friends. In this At Home Series episode, we are bringing this book to life through a fine motor activity. Nothing like including candy and marbles to make learning fun!
What will I need for this activity?
The three things needed for this activity are: a picture of the Rainbow Fish, marbles, and one pack of smarties.
A fine motor activity is an activity that focuses on the use and development of fine motor muscles, particularly in the hands. The simplest task of a child picking a toy off the floor, or in this case, a marble, is an important part of their development.
Here’s how to do it:
Open the pack of smarties
Place the smarties on the shiny scales on the Rainbow fish picture
Place the marbles on top of the smarties
